St Ives East, Lelant & Carbis Bay Cornwall Councillor Linda Taylor has been unanimously re-elected as Group Leader of the Conservative Group on Cornwall Council, ahead of Cornwall Council’s AGM next week.
Linda said:
“I am delighted to see the strong endorsement from the Conservative Group on Cornwall Council on my leadership over the past year, ahead of next week’s AGM of Cornwall Council, where I will, of course, be seeking re-election as Leader of Cornwall Council.”
“The past year has been a challenging one for our new administration, and I am grateful for the support of the Conservative Group throughout, particularly my exceptionally skilled and hard-working Cabinet colleague.”
“We have been given the trust of the people of Cornwall in the first ever time a single political group has had overall control of Cornwall Council, and have had to make many tough decisions to correct the years of mismanagement by consecutive Lib Dem and Independent administrations. But we are up to the task, and will continue to work towards the priorities the people of Cornwall want to be:
