Threemilestone and Chacewater Cornwall Councillor Dulcie Tudor has quit the Independent Group at County Hall and signalled her intention to work with the Conservative Group for the good of Cornwall.
Cllr Dulcie Tudor said:
“I have chosen to enter into a coalition with the Conservative Group to get the best result for the people living in my Division, and the people who will be living in Langarth Garden Village.”
“I spent the last 4 years under a Lib Dem/Independent coalition excluded from meetings and decisions affecting my Division, by Senior Officers, the then Leader of the Council and the then Deputy Leader.”
“This culminated with the deputy Leader Cllr. Paynter actively undermining my efforts to gain fair planning consideration for the people of Threemilestone.”
“I look forward to closer more inclusive working relationship with the new administration where, as an elected member I am able to put Threemilestone and Chacewater first.”
Cllr Linda Taylor, Leader of the Conservative Group on Cornwall Council said:
"There are talented councillors from across the political spectrum at county hall, and despite having an overall majority, the Conservative Group has always said it is open to working with others for the good of Cornwall."
